Exclusively family-owned and operated, Savage is one of the smallest Cabernet Sauvignon producers in the Napa Valley with only about 150 cases produced a year from its vineyard. This allows the strictest attention to detail and quality, allowing unique production and exciting flavor every vintage year. Savage Estate was founded in 1997 by Michael Savage when his Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard was planted using only green farming practices.
The estate, less than one acre in area, is located in the northern extremity of Napa Valley, between Calistoga and the rugged Palisades and within sight of Mount Helena. Savage Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is fermented in small open-top fermenters, and is aged for two years in 100% French oak in the winery at Starry Night.
