Situated in Wintzenheim, Josmeyer extends over 90 separate vineyard parcels near Colmar including Drachenloch, Herrenweg, Rotenberg and the grand cru sites of Hengst and Brand. Josmeyer was founded in 1854 by Aloyse Meyer, who helped to build a reputation of quality. The following generation of winemakers continue to ardently promote quality wines and increase the acclaim of this family-run estate to its current position in the top echelon of Alsace producers.
In 2000 all the vineyard was converted to organic and biodynamic viticulture to allow man to work in harmony with the sky, earth and the vines. The estate is managed by Céline Meyer and Isabelle Meyer is the winemaker.
